Beaumont's Book Week was celebrated by the SKG kids on a virtual platform with zeal and zest.
Junior KG Class began Beaumont's Book Week with an introduction to DEAR (Drop Everything And Read) Students made sure they kept a storybook handy throughout the week for DEAR. We made Corner Bookmarks of monsters, bunny faces, frogs, chefs, and many more. It was amazing to see the little hands at work. We also learned the purpose of Bookmarks. Students were proud of their creations.
We read a story called The Magic Cooking Pot and discussed the Story Elements. Students drew their favorite part of the story and recited the magic words to make the pot cook the porridge and to stop the pot from cooking the porridge. The Pyjama Party was celebrated with students coming dressed in their night suits along with their favourite soft toy. We also read a book and had lots of fun.
For Book Character day, kids presented themselves dressed as their favourite book characters and spoke a few lines too. Kids were dressed as Elsa, Dinosaurs, Superman, Spiderman, Batman, Peppa Pig, Goldilocks and many more characters and were very excited portraying their favourite characters.
It was an engaging and enjoyable week indeed!
