Interschool Activities with the Japanese School of Mumbai
At Beaumont we have very close ties with our neighbour the Japanese School of Mumbai. In fact, we have quite a number of Japanese students, who complete their Kindergarten here at Beaumont before moving on to the Primary section of the Japanese School.
Every year we have a tradition of hosting the Japanese School Students, many of whom are, our very own ex students. This year too on, 15th July 2022, after a hiatus of 2 years due to the Pandemic , we continued with our tradition.
The event commenced with welcoming our guests and greeting them with Ohayoo- (Good Morning in Japanese) we also felicitated the Principal Mr Akinori. The activities then started in full swing.
All the students danced with actions to the songs of the Learning Station-Singing in the Rain, Rum Sum Sum and There was a Crocodile. This was followed by Cosmic Yoga, which enabled our students to relax after the energetic workout. Students then moved to Art and Craft activities and individually created amazing work- Purple Butterfly and Purple Flower. The Japanese School students introduced the game of Rock, Paper and Scissors much to the excitement of all. Outdoor play too was enjoyed by all.
Finally after an exhilarating time at school, our energetic guests bid adieu. We exchanged good byes in our respective native languages- Sayonara/Ja Mata and Namaste.
We look forward to more such amazing interschool activities with our Japanese school counterparts.
