Holi is a famous Hindu festival that is celebrated in every part of India with utmost joy and enthusiasm. The ritual starts by lighting up the bonfire one day before the day of Holi and this process symbolizes the triumph of good over the bad. On the day of Holi people play with colours with their friends and families. Holi is known as the festival of colours
At Beaumont all the classes joyfully celebrated Holi, by participating in many activities.
Nursery- Holi was celebrated by viewing a video on Holi. Our nursery student, narrated the Story of Prahlad and the essence of Holi. We discussed about having a Safe Holi. Kids also mentioned about the special sweets prepared at home during Holi like Gujiya and PuranPoli.
The Junior KG class were very excited to celebrate Holi. We showed videos and explained to children that, Holi is one of the major festivals of Hindus. It is celebrated in South Asian countries, especially in India. Holi is the festival of colors. The festival is celebrated for two to three days in the spring season. Hindus believe that spring is full of colors so they throw colored water on each other. People also make a special drink thandai and prepare puran poli.
Our kids also did wax painting and danced to the tune of Holi songs.
Senior KG celebrated the Holi Festival on our virtual platform with zeal and enthusiasm . Kids were ecstatic to celebrate this day. We Learned about the significance of Holi , we played the Scavenger hunt Game, and conducted a quiz on colours. We did a Fun Art activity with Candles. Magic candle was captivating and kids were overjoyed with the results. Kids also enjoyed a Dance Party dancing to their favourite songs .
