On Friday 14th October 2022, the students and staff of Beaumont HFSI Pre Primary, undertook our first Field Trip of the year to Heritage Garden.
This trip enabled our young learners to spend time in a natural habitat, which enabled them to observe a variety of flora and make connections with their theme - Plant Kingdom, Food and Nutrition.
Our excited students were very eager to explore the garden and had many queries based on their observations. The pleasant weather aided the process beautifully.
Toddler and Nursery
Through this field trip the kids of Toddler and Nursery got to learn much more about, The Plant Kingdom- the current theme of the month.
The kids got to see the different kinds of plants and trees and also learnt about the bamboo plant. The different parts of a plant and trees were also revised with them. Students were very excited to see a pond as well! They also got to play in the playground with their teachers and friends, which they thoroughly enjoyed!
Junior KG
The field trip enabled students to make associations to their learning about The Plant Kingdom. They also revised the parts of the plant like roots, trunk, branches and leaves. Members of the Animal Kingdom - squirrels and pretty butterflies too were sighted during our nature trail. We also learnt about our national tree- The Banyan tree. Students had an enjoyable time in the Childrens' play area too. We were very lucky to have excellent weather conditions.
The SKG class enjoyed their educational field trip to the Heritage Garden, where they saw a variety of plants, including flowering and non-flowering ones, thorny roses, and bushy plants. This allowed the students to better understand our theme -The Plant Kingdom.
Children were astounded to observe different birds and hovering butterflies among the flowers. We spent a lovely day with them and enjoyed playing in the garden too.
It was an engaging and enjoyable field trip, which added greatly to our learning.
