On 21st February, students of Nursery celebrated International Mother Language Day. All the students were happy to celebrate this day and each one of them took turns and sang songs in their mother tongue. We all had a great time!
Junior KG Roses celebrated Mother Language Day by reciting rhymes/ few lines in a variety of languages- English, Spanish, Marathi, Hindi, Gujarati, Marwadi, Kannada and German.
We enjoyed listening to our little learners and we are proud that they are learning their mother language and carrying ahead the rich culture and linguistic legacy with them.
Kudos to Roses!!
A language is much more than just a way of communicating. Language, and particularly our mother tongue, is an important part of our culture. International Mother Language day is very significant as it helps to promote the preservation and protection of all languages used by people of the world.
Nelson Mandela once said, 'If you talk to a man in a language he understands, that goes to his head. If you talk to him in his language, that goes to his heart.'
Senior KG kids enthusiastically participated and celebrated International Mother Language Day. Kids proudly and with confidence, introduced themselves, recited poems and sang songs in their native languages. Well done Senior KG!
