Each year the International Day of Peace is observed around the world on 21 September. The 2021 theme for the International Day of Peace is “Recovering better for an equitable and sustainable world”.
At Beaumont value education is of prime importance and an ongoing aspect of teaching and learning. Our goal is to help the children to be independent and caring individuals, self disciplined, peacekeepers, who, are conscious of the community and demonstrate global awareness. Thus Celebration of International Day of Peace, is indeed very relevant for all of our students.
Toddler & Nursery students had a great time celebrating International Day of Peace(UNESCO). They watched the video and also did finger painting on the symbol of peace.
International Day of Peace was celebrated enthusiastically by the students of Junior KG. What is Peace? was discussed with the students. The importance of peace- in our life, our country and our world was also focussed upon. Students did finger painting on the symbol of peace, The Dove with an Olive branch.
Peace education is a primary pillar for preventing armed conflict and violence, saving lives and freeing up limited resources for social needs. ... It is crucial for these groups to have the knowledge, skills and abilities to better address and manage conflicts and advocate for social justice in their communities. Keeping this in mind Beaumont SKG Kids on 21st of September celebrated International Peace day , they learned the importance of peace, it is necessary for life, for living and for happiness. They also created beautiful art work, a hand print drawing of a Dove- the symbol of peace.
The only way to bring peace to the earth is to learn to make our own life peaceful—Gautama Buddha.
