On 28th August, we welcomed Mrs. Neenu Ninan Bibin our guest speaker parent-SKG, in connection with our ongoing inquiry about celebrations and culture.
Mrs. Bibin provided valuable input about the UAE along with a delightful presentation through which we learned about this country - an elective monarchy formed from a federation of seven emirates, situated in the middle east.
Being an Islamic country and celebrating Eid Al Fitr and Eid Al Adah, UAE is also a multinational country which celebrates most festivals from around the world.
We learned about the national bird -Falcon and the national animal- Arabian Oryx. The colours of the flag and their significance too were discussed. We also learned a few greetings in Arabic namely Sabah el kheir - Good Morning, Marhaba- Hello.
The session ended with a song about the UAE and its 7 emirates to which our enthusiastic students excitedly joined in.
It was a very interesting session through which we learned a lot about the UAE and its culture
We are very grateful to Mrs. Neenu Ninan Bibin for this wonderful presentation.
Shukran – Thank You!
